Jim is the personal injury non-litigation manager and managing partner. He has been in law since 1976. Before coming to the firm of Browning, Morefield, & Schelin in 1976, he was in the Army of the United States from 1969–1971. He was a reserve judge for both the General District and Juvenile and Domestics Relations Court in seven counties in southwest Virginia. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee and his law degree from the School of Law at T.C. Williams in Richmond, Virginia. He is qualified to practice law in Virginia.
Jim manages the personal injury cases to settlement or filing suit. His Bristol office is staffed with case managers, a law clerk, and an administrative assistant/intake case manager to assist him.
